ORBITA-2 is a placebo-controlled trial of percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) in patients with stable angina. The trial aims to provide definitive evidence on the efficacy of PCI in relieving symptoms compared to a placebo procedure.
Building on the findings of the original ORBITA trial, ORBITA-2 includes a larger patient cohort and more rigorous follow-up to assess the long-term benefits of the intervention. Our researchers at St Mary's Hospital are playing a pivotal role in this international, multi-center study.
